The musicians of TRIO AND CO were brought together by Nathalie Négro, artistic director of PIANO AND CO, for the company’s newest European project: Musical Bounce Back. This trio, which has a variable configuration, will be able to invite other musicians and blend other forms of performing arts.

This ensemble features Hélène Maréchaux on the violin, Marine Rodallec on the cello, and Jean Sugitani on the piano. These renowned musicians will play work from composers such as Mel Bonis, Nadia Boulanger, Cécile Chaminade, Florence Price, Sophie Lacaze, and Kelly-Marie Murphy.

Hélène Maréchaux

After studying at the Paris Conservatory, the violin player Hélène Maréchaux joined the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and then moved on to the Münchener Kammerorchester. She performed with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the baroque ensemble Hofkapelle Münchener, the philharmonic orchestra of Radio France, Les Dissonances, and Les Siècles led by François-Xavier Roth. She also founded the Pollen ensemble.

 

Marine Rodallec

Marine Rodallec is a long-time partner of PIANO AND CO and its projects. A cello player who attended the Haute École de Musique of Geneva, she works with the ensembles C Barré and Café Zimmermann. As the solo cellist for the academy of the Grand Théâtre du Liceu in Barcelona, she has performed in venues such as the Salle Gaveau, the Salle Pleyel, and the National Theatre Opéra Comique.

Jean Sugitani

A member of the Les Siècles orchestra, Jean-Hisanori Sugitani studied piano at the Paris Conservatory. Having taken a particular interest in chamber music, he has won several international prizes. He has collaborated with artists such as Krystof Penderecki, Pierre Boulez, and Nicolas Bacri, for who he recorded chamber music with the Ensemble Capriccioso. He created pieces with modern French composers such as Guillaume Connesson, Karol Beffa, and Richard Dubugnon.
